Can jaundice hepatitis heal on its own?

Can jaundice hepatitis heal on its own?

Most cases of icteric hepatitis cannot heal on their own, but a small number of patients with milder symptoms can heal on their own.

There are many causes of icteric hepatitis, the most common of which include hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis E, drug-induced liver damage, fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease, etc. The severity of the disease varies, with mild cases only showing mild yellowing of the skin and sclera without obvious symptoms, while severe cases may show severe yellowing of the skin all over the body, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue and other symptoms.

1. For a small number of icteric hepatitis with mild symptoms and mild liver function abnormalities, they can recover by staying in bed and eating a light diet. However, if the symptoms gradually worsen and the jaundice gradually deepens, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. For patients with obvious symptoms and jaundice, this situation is mostly difficult to heal on its own and will gradually worsen. You should go to the hospital for treatment in time, complete the examination, clarify the cause of jaundice, and treat the cause. For jaundice, you can use drugs such as ursodeoxycholic acid capsules and enteric-coated adenosine succinate tablets. Through treatment, most icteric hepatitis can be cured.
