Everyone hopes that they can have a healthy parotid gland, because that will ensure that they can eat a lot of delicious food, but many people do not have a healthy eating habit, which makes them suffer from acute mumps. So how can people prevent acute mumps?

To prevent acute mumps, people should quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption, try to avoid the harm of aspirin, have a regular life, avoid eating irritating, rough, overcold, overheated food and overeating, pay attention to food hygiene, and do not eat rotten, spoiled, or contaminated food. When the disease occurs, people should eat light liquid food, fast if necessary, and actively cooperate with doctors to prevent it from turning into chronic mumps.

Acute mumps is relatively common among military officers and soldiers. It is necessary to correctly understand its causes and take appropriate preventive measures. Acute mumps is an acute inflammation of the parotid mucosa caused by multiple factors. There are three main causes: First, physical and chemical factors, eating too cold or too hot food, strong tea, coffee, strong liquor, irritating condiments, rough food, irritating drugs (aspirin, phenylbutazone, etc.), swallowing strong acids, strong alkalis or other corrosives; second, biological factors, eating foods containing bacteria and toxins, and being prone to acute enteritis; third, endogenous factors, including severe systemic infection, trauma, major surgery, shock, excessive emotional fluctuations, fatigue, etc.

The main clinical manifestations of acute mumps are: upper abdominal distension, pain, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting; acute mumps caused by bacterial infection is often accompanied by diarrhea and fever, and in severe cases, there are symptoms such as dehydration, acidosis, and shock; hemorrhagic erosive mumps is manifested by sudden gastrointestinal bleeding, vomiting blood, and black stools.

In fact, as long as people develop good eating habits, they can prevent many diseases related to the parotid gland, including acute mumps. And I believe that those patients with acute mumps should all know how serious acute mumps is. Therefore, I hope that people can avoid the occurrence of acute mumps.
