What are the early symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease?

In the early stages of hand, foot and mouth disease, fever, oral ulcers, rashes on the limbs, loss of appetite, and other symptoms may occur. You can go to a regular hospital for examination and receive targeted treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

1. Fever: Hand, foot and mouth disease may cause fever symptoms, most of which are low-grade or moderate fever, with body temperature as high as 38°C or above. A small number of patients may have high fever, with body temperature reaching 38°C to 40°C.

2. Oral ulcers: Scattered herpes may appear on the cheeks, tongue, soft palate and other parts of the mouth. After the herpes breaks, ulcers will form, accompanied by pain, which will affect the child's normal eating.

3. Rash on the limbs: The appearance of rash on the hands, feet and other parts is the most obvious feature of hand, foot and mouth disease. It is mainly manifested as scattered red rashes of varying sizes. The blisters are round or oval, flat, as small as rice grains or as large as peas, hard and contain turbid fluid.

4. Loss of appetite: Due to the pain caused by oral ulcers, patients may experience anorexia and be unwilling to eat.

5. Other symptoms: Cough, runny nose, headache, mental abnormalities, such as drowsiness, lack of energy and other non-specific symptoms may also occur.

Hand, foot and mouth disease is a common acute infectious disease. Isolation measures need to be taken, hands should be washed frequently, clothes should be changed frequently, and public places should be avoided to prevent infection.
