The severity of such patients is mainly judged based on the degree of bilirubin elevation and the patient's gastrointestinal symptoms. If the bilirubin elevation is within 10 times the normal upper limit, and the patient's gastrointestinal symptoms are not severe, and the disease has not progressed significantly, such patients are not seriously ill and can be improved through active jaundice and liver protection treatment.

If the patient's condition progressively worsens, the bilirubin rises rapidly to more than 10 times the normal upper limit, and the digestive symptoms are also severe, and there is a coagulation dysfunction, this type of patient is considered serious and needs to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time.
