How to cure jaundice in children

How to cure jaundice in children

Pediatric jaundice can be treated through phototherapy, drug therapy or blood transfusion therapy, but the specific treatment plan needs to be judged in combination with the patient's physical condition. Therefore, if any abnormality is found in the child's body, it is necessary to go to the hospital for intervention as soon as possible.

Treatment of jaundice in children:

1. Phototherapy: Children can be exposed to blue light with a wavelength of 440nm, which will cause the bilirubin in the body to undergo photolysis and dissolve into water. During urination or sweating, the bilirubin will be excreted from the body, thereby reducing the bilirubin in the body. However, during phototherapy, the child's eyes and reproductive system need to be covered to avoid damage to the skin and mucous membranes.

2. Drug treatment: Children can also use drugs such as Yinzhihuang Granules and human serum albumin under the guidance of a doctor, which can also help the body break down bilirubin and lower bilirubin levels.

3. Blood transfusion therapy: If the child's condition is more serious and severe anemia, edema and other abnormal symptoms do not improve after conservative treatment, blood transfusion therapy is needed to expel bilirubin from the child's blood.

Things to note for jaundice in children:

If the child's stool becomes lighter in color or becomes white clay color, or the jaundice gradually deepens, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly. After the treatment, regular check-ups should be conducted to observe the recovery.
