Symptoms of kidney disease in children

What are the symptoms of kidney disease in children? The greatest wish of parents is that their children can grow up healthily. Children are the flowers of the motherland and the future of their parents. However, the emergence of nephrotic syndrome seriously threatens the physical health of children, which makes parents very worried. Therefore, parents should always pay attention to the physical changes of their children, and make sure to detect and treat them early to avoid causing unnecessary pain to their children.

Kidney disease in children is a common disease in children, which seriously affects the health and development of children. If it is not treated in time or treated improperly, it is likely to cause a variety of complications. Children are at high risk of nephrotic syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome has a great impact on the growth and development of children. It is not easy to treat, and repeated recurrences will aggravate the condition. Therefore, before understanding how to treat it, let's first understand the symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children:

The incidence of nephrotic syndrome is second only to acute nephritis and urinary tract infection among pediatric kidney diseases. The cause has not yet been fully clarified. It can also be a stage in the progression of chronic nephritis. It occurs in children aged 3-7 years. The general condition of patients is good in the early stage and it is not easy to be discovered, thus delaying the treatment of nephrotic syndrome in children. As the disease progresses, the child may develop gradually pale complexion, listlessness, loss of appetite and other symptoms in the later stage.

1. Proteinuria: The initial stage is intermittent proteinuria, which will gradually turn into persistent proteinuria. In the early stage, it is selective proteinuria, which will turn into non-selective proteinuria in the later stage. The early symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children are 10 years.

2. Anemia: Anemia is an early symptom of nephrotic syndrome in children. Patients with diabetic nephropathy and obvious azotemia may have mild to moderate anemia. Among the symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children, anemia should be paid special attention to, not only because anemia can reduce the body's immune system, but also because anemia is the main cause of complications of nephrotic syndrome in children. In addition, anemia is a natural disorder of red blood cells, and iron treatment is ineffective.

3. Leg cramps: The human kidney secretes a hormone that regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism. When kidney function declines, the decrease in this hormone can hinder calcium reabsorption, leading to low blood calcium, reduced bone mass, and easy occurrence of osteoporosis and fractures. This kind of calcium deficiency caused by kidney disease is generally ineffective. When the early symptoms of hypertensive nephropathy in middle-aged and elderly people appear, such as leg cramps and other symptoms of calcium deficiency, don't forget to check your kidney function.

4. Severe edema: The whole body is swollen with pitting edema, and scrotal edema is often more serious. It can cause abdominal distension and dyspnea due to water accumulation in the abdominal and pleural cavities. The edema of most patients can disappear on its own after treatment, but it can recur later.
