Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of pneumonia emphasizes the right medicine for the right disease, treating both the symptoms and the root cause, and has relatively few side effects. Let us tell you how to treat it.

According to the different causes of pneumonia, TCM treatment of pneumonia is divided into the following methods:

1. Wind-heat attacking the lung type: Symptoms include rapid breathing, sweating, slight thirst, mild irritability, red throat, thin yellow tongue coating, and red tip of the tongue. The focus of treatment is to dispel wind and heat, promote lung function and relieve cough.

2. Wind-cold blocking the lung type: Symptoms include cough, rapid breathing, low fever, no sweating, aversion to cold, thin white tongue coating, pale red tongue, and floating and tight pulse. The focus of treatment is to dispel wind and cold, and stop coughing and relieving asthma.

3. Phlegm-heat blocking the lungs: Symptoms include fever without sweat or little sweat, cough, wheezing, sputum, abdominal distension, chest fullness, irritability, yellow and greasy tongue coating, red tongue, and slippery pulse. The treatment focuses on clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, promoting lung function, and relieving asthma.

4. Cold on the outside and heat inside type: Symptoms include high fever without sweating, cough, wheezing, irritability, blue area around nose and lips, flaring nostrils, red tongue and yellow tongue coating. During the treatment process, the focus should be on promoting lung function and dispersing cold, clearing heat and relieving asthma.

In the treatment of pneumonia with traditional Chinese medicine, the cause of the disease must be identified and the right medicine must be prescribed. Do not use medicine indiscriminately. Treatment without the right medicine will be futile and will only delay treatment. Patients should go to the hospital in time, choose the treatment method that suits them best, and receive treatment as soon as possible to get rid of the pain.
