Routine examination for pneumonia in children

Routine examination for pneumonia in children

There are many diseases in life, so people need to keep their eyes open to discover problems and diseases in time. Parents are also worried when their newborns suffer from pneumonia, so people should actively understand and do reasonable examinations in time. So, what examinations should neonatal pneumonia patients do? The following is a detailed answer.

1. C-reactive protein test: This value increases in bacterial infection, sepsis, etc., and the increase is proportional to the severity of the infection. It does not increase in viral and mycoplasma infections.

2. Cytopathological examination.

3. Viral etiology examination.

4. White blood cell examination: In cellular pneumonia, the total white blood cell count increases to about 15-20×109/L. In severe Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia and influenza bacillus pneumonia, the total white blood cell count sometimes decreases. In viral pneumonia, the white blood cell count is normal or decreased, the lymphocyte count increases in proportion, and the neutrophil count does not increase.

5. Chest X-ray examination.

The above is an analysis of what examinations newborns need to undergo. I hope parents can pay attention to this. If a child suffers from the above diseases, they must be treated in time to avoid affecting the child's future health.
