Causes of infant hernia, 5 causes of infant hernia

Infant hernia is a common condition in life, and it is also an object that everyone needs to understand the cause of. The more common causes include incomplete closure of the processus vaginalis, poor blood circulation, incomplete closure of the navel, and there may be other factors.

Hernia is a health problem that many babies will encounter. It will cause pain and other physical discomfort. Therefore, you should know the cause of the problem and take corresponding preventive measures in advance to reduce the probability of this problem. So what is the cause of infant hernia?
1. Incomplete closure of the processus vaginalis
The processus vaginalis allows the testicles to return to the scrotum smoothly, or it can reinforce the rounded band of the uterus. After the child is born, the processus vaginalis of the peritoneum will be in a completely closed state. If it is not closed well or there is some gap, the tissue originally in the abdominal cavity will protrude through this gap, making the originally flat surface have a significant bulge. This situation is called indirect hernia. When an indirect hernia is formed, the small intestine, ovaries, and fallopian tubes will all be strong and protruding, thus forming a hernia.
2. Incomplete closure of the umbilical cord
This is an important cause of umbilical hernia. It may be because the baby's umbilical cord is not developed normally and the umbilical ring is not completely closed; it may be that after the umbilical cord falls off, the root of the umbilical cord and the umbilical ring are not adhered together in a relatively consistent manner. In either case, when the baby's abdominal pressure increases, it gives the intestines and omentum an opportunity to take advantage, which may cause hernia.
3. Poor blood circulation
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the baby's constitution is an important cause of hernia. Some babies are very weak or have poor development, and cold, dampness, and turbid air will enter the body, thereby increasing abdominal pressure and causing poor blood circulation. When the abdominal pressure increases, the bladder, cecum, fallopian tubes, etc. in the body will find loopholes under the pressure, which may also cause hernia.
4. Other factors
In addition to the above factors, details in life may also cause hernia in babies, such as frequent sneezing or coughing, long-term crying or strong bowel movements. In addition, obese babies may be more prone to various conditions.
There are many causes of hernia in infants and young children. We should analyze and deal with it according to the current situation. Generally, some babies may absorb it by themselves, but most children need surgical treatment after 3 or 4 years old.
