What are the early symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease?

2. Scattered blisters the size of rice grains may appear on the oral mucosa of the patient. They are very painful, with inflammatory red halos around them and less fluid in the blisters.

3. If the child has mild hand, foot and mouth disease, he or she will have symptoms similar to upper respiratory tract infection, such as coughing, runny nose, and drooling in the early stages.

4. Patients often begin to develop a rash 1 to 2 days after the fever, usually on the hands, feet, buttocks, or oral mucosal herpes.

What should I do if I get hand, foot and mouth disease?

1. The treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease is mainly symptomatic.

2. If the child has a high fever, antipyretic treatment should be given.

3. If the child's blisters are severe, antiviral ointment should be applied for treatment.

4. Provide daily care, such as dressing your child in loose clothes and feeding them more vitamin-rich foods.
