How to prevent neonatal jaundice

How to prevent neonatal jaundice?

In order to prevent neonatal jaundice, pregnant women should pay attention to their diet during pregnancy and avoid using various drugs that increase the risk of jaundice. For the prevention of jaundice in babies after birth, first of all, open the milk as soon as possible to ensure that the baby has enough milk, and guide the baby to defecate in time. The fetus feces of newborns can excrete a large amount of bilirubin, and more defecation can reduce jaundice. At the same time, ensure that the baby sees the sun every day, which can eliminate jaundice.

1. Early breastfeeding

After the baby is born, in addition to the early milk, the amount of milk should be sufficient. If the child defecates more, jaundice will not easily rise; if eating too little, it will cause jaundice and the degree will deepen.

2. Early bowel movement

Newborn meconium can excrete a large amount of bilirubin. If the newborn bilirubin accumulates too much in the body, it will aggravate neonatal jaundice. If the meconium cannot be excreted in time after birth, or there is too little meconium, please consult a doctor to promote the baby's bowel movements to reduce jaundice.

3. Sunbathe

Including sunlight and indoor light. In some areas, there is a custom that newborns cannot see light. If the curtains or lights are not turned on after the newborn is born, it will cause the newborn to have too deep and too heavy jaundice. It is generally recommended to turn on the curtains and lights every day after the newborn is born.

One of the causes of neonatal jaundice is that pregnant women suffer from damp heat, which affects the fetus, so the baby will turn yellow after birth. Pregnant women should pay attention to their diet during pregnancy. During pregnancy, pregnant women should not often feel hungry on an empty stomach, and should not eat spicy foods such as those that irritate the spleen and stomach.
