How to treat dry cough in children?

When children have dry coughs, it is necessary to identify the specific causes and treat them. Patients with bronchial pneumonia need timely antibiotic treatment and appropriate use of cough suppressants. If the cough is caused by bronchial asthma, the baby needs to be treated with atomization in time. If the baby has dry coughs for a long time, it can be relieved by drinking rock sugar, snow pear, Sichuan Fritillary water or boiled radish water.

Children's defense capabilities against various diseases are very weak. They are always prone to coughing in the autumn and winter. Many children will occasionally have dry coughs at night or in the morning, and many babies' coughs will last for a long time. So, what should we do about children's dry coughs?

1. Treatment of dry cough in children

1. Bronchopneumonia

After the child develops this disease, if he or she only coughs occasionally at night or in the morning, no treatment is needed for the time being. At this time, attention should be paid to indoor ventilation. You can fumigate the room with some vinegar every day to disinfect and sterilize.

If the cough is severe and accompanied by vomiting, the baby needs to be given anti-infection treatment in time. Usually, some antibiotics need to be used appropriately. At the same time, some drugs with cough suppressant effects should be added, such as loquat and Fritillaria syrup.

2. Bronchial asthma

This disease is also a common cause of dry cough in children. Many children are more likely to have dry cough when the weather changes suddenly. If the baby is found to have cough caused by this variant inflammation, it is necessary to give the baby nebulization treatment in time. Generally, nebulization is required 1 to 2 times, or the baby is treated to reduce airway sensitivity.

2. Diet therapy for dry cough in children

1. Pear + rock sugar + Sichuan Fritillary

Rock sugar, Fritillaria and pear water can relieve various coughs in children. When making it, you need to clean the fresh snow pear, cut it in a cross section near the top, and then use a spoon to dig out the core in the middle, put 2 to 3 rock sugars and a small amount of Fritillaria in it, cover the pear cake, put it in a bowl and steam it in a steamer for half an hour. Usually one pear can be given to the baby twice.

2. Boil radish water

Radish water can relieve dry cough. Usually you need to choose white radish. After washing the radish, put it in a small pot and add appropriate amount of water. After boiling, switch to low heat and cook slowly. Turn off the heat after about 5 minutes. Wait until it reaches room temperature, then give it to your baby to drink. It has a good effect on wind-heat cough and dry cough.
