Baby vomits after hand, foot and mouth disease vaccination

If your baby vomits after receiving the hand, foot and mouth disease vaccine, it may be an adverse reaction to the vaccine, or it may be caused by indigestion or cold, or diseases such as acute gastroenteritis. It is recommended to seek medical attention.

1. Adverse reactions to vaccines: After receiving the hand, foot and mouth disease vaccine, you may experience mild fever, vomiting, cough, diarrhea and other adverse reactions. No special treatment is required. Drink plenty of water and the symptoms will be relieved in about 2-3 days. If the symptoms are severe, the body temperature is too high, or there are bad mental reactions, such as excessive irritability, mental depression, headache, dizziness, vomiting, etc., you should go to the hospital in time for symptomatic treatment under the guidance of a doctor, and infusion treatment is required if necessary;

2. Indigestion: After the baby has received the hand, foot and mouth disease vaccine, if he does not pay attention to his diet or gets a cold in the abdomen, it can cause indigestion and vomiting. You can go to the hospital for treatment and take vitamin B6 to stop vomiting under the guidance of a doctor. At the same time, you need to pay attention to the baby's diet, avoid greasy and indigestible food, eat small meals frequently, and eat more light and easily digestible food;

3. Acute gastroenteritis: If the baby eats something unclean after the hand, foot and mouth disease vaccine is injected, it may cause acute gastroenteritis, vomiting, and diarrhea. It is recommended to see a doctor in time and use antidiarrhea drugs under the guidance of a doctor, such as montmorillonite powder;

4. Encephalitis: If you develop encephalitis after taking the hand, foot and mouth disease vaccine, you may also experience vomiting, dizziness, headache, poor spirits, severe vomiting, fever and other symptoms. If encephalitis is not treated in time, it may leave sequelae, such as hydrocephalus, increased intracranial pressure, papilledema, etc. You need to be hospitalized immediately for diagnosis and treatment, use mannitol to reduce intracranial pressure, and strengthen anti-infection treatment.
