Is lymphoma a blood cancer? How to treat it?

Blood cancer, also known as leukemia, is a type of malignant clonal disease of hematopoietic stem cells. Clonal leukemia cells proliferate and accumulate in large quantities in the bone marrow and other hematopoietic tissues due to mechanisms such as uncontrolled proliferation, differentiation disorders, and blocked apoptosis, and infiltrate other tissues and organs, while normal hematopoiesis is suppressed. Lymphoma is a malignant tumor originating from the lymphatic hematopoietic system. It usually occurs in lymphatic tissues or organs such as the spleen and thymus, while leukemia occurs in the blood system and is mainly manifested by white blood cell hyperplasia. There is a difference between the two. Therefore, lymphoma is not a blood cancer.

1. Surgical treatment. It is limited to biopsy or complication treatment. Patients with hypersplenism and no contraindications can undergo splenectomy to improve blood count and create favorable conditions for chemotherapy.

2. TCM treatment: It has a strong holistic concept. Although tumors grow in a certain part of the body, they are actually systemic diseases. For most tumor patients, local treatment cannot solve the problem of radical cure. However, TCM, starting from the holistic concept and implementing syndrome differentiation and treatment, not only considers local treatment, but also adopts the method of strengthening the body and restoring the root, which plays an important role in improving local symptoms and systemic conditions.

3. Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy for lymphoma is usually combined with targeted therapy drugs and biological agents. In recent years, chemotherapy regimens for lymphoma have been greatly improved, and the long-term survival of many types of lymphoma has been greatly improved.

4. Biological treatment of lymphoma is a method of inhibiting and treating tumors by stimulating the body's own immune system. It makes up for the shortcomings of traditional surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. While killing tumor cells, it can also regulate and restore the body's immune function, kill formed tumor cells, inhibit the formation of new tumor cells, and block the root cause of tumor recurrence and metastasis.
