It is very important for us to understand the symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children. So below we will introduce the symptoms of children's kidney disease in detail, hoping to be helpful to everyone.

Nephrotic syndrome in children is caused by various reasons that increase the permeability of glomerular capillaries, resulting in the clinical appearance of large amounts of proteinuria. Therefore, caution is required when children have large amounts of proteinuria, because the appearance of large amounts of proteinuria may be a precursor to nephrotic syndrome in children. The main manifestation of nephrotic syndrome in children is large amounts of proteinuria, followed by hypoproteinemia, hyperlipidemia, and varying degrees of edema.

Symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children include a history of upper respiratory tract infection before onset, mild edema only manifests in the morning when getting up, eyelid edema, and severe edema in children with nephrotic syndrome may have systemic edema, which may be pitting edema. The scrotal edema of children with nephrotic syndrome appears bright, and severe edema may cause ascites and pleural effusion. Children with nephrotic syndrome often have symptoms such as fatigue, anorexia, mental fatigue, and pale complexion. Children with nephrotic syndrome have low immune function and therefore often have infections. If not treated in time, they may be accompanied by hypovolemic shock, electrolyte imbalance, vascular embolism, and acute renal failure.

The above symptoms are all specific manifestations of pediatric nephrotic syndrome. Therefore, if your child has the above symptoms, parents must pay attention to it and take the child to the doctor in time to avoid delaying the disease and missing the best time for the child's treatment.
