Symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in children include a history of upper respiratory tract infection before onset, mild edema only manifests in the morning when getting up, eyelid edema, and severe edema in children with nephrotic syndrome may have systemic edema, which may be pitting edema. The scrotal edema of children with nephrotic syndrome appears bright, and severe edema may cause ascites and pleural effusion. Children with nephrotic syndrome often have symptoms such as fatigue, anorexia, mental fatigue, and pale complexion. Children with nephrotic syndrome have low immune function and therefore often have infections. If not treated in time, they may be accompanied by hypovolemic shock, electrolyte imbalance, vascular embolism, and acute renal failure.
