Treatment of pneumonia in children in China

Treatment of pneumonia in children in China

Neonatal pneumonia is the most common respiratory infectious disease in the neonatal period. The incidence of this disease is very high, and the main manifestations are low crying, less crying or no crying, less feeding or refusal to feed, listlessness or irritability. New mothers should pay special attention to this, and take their children to the hospital for examination in time to find out the cause and treat it symptomatically. So, what are the treatments for pediatric pneumonia in China? Let us learn about it together.

1. General treatment

Keep the respiratory tract clear: remove inhaled materials as quickly as possible, clean the secretions from the oropharynx and nose, and regularly turn over and pat the back to facilitate the discharge of sputum. Strengthen nursing and monitoring, and pay attention to keeping warm. Keep the indoor air fresh, with a suitable and stable temperature and humidity.

2. Antibiotics

(1) Staphylococcus aureus infection: first-generation cephalosporins, enzyme-resistant penicillin or ampicillin (ampicillin) can be used.

(2) Group B hemolytic streptococcal pneumonia: can be treated with ampicillin and penicillin.

(3) Gram-negative bacteria: For Pseudomonas aeruginosa, severe cases or those resistant to general antibiotics, third-generation cephalosporins can be used; for Enterobacter pneumonia, amikacin (amikacin) and ampicillin can be used.

(4) Listeria pneumonia: Ampicillin can be used.

3. Symptomatic treatment

Symptomatic treatment should be carried out according to the specific symptoms. For example, patients with irritability or convulsions should be sedated and anticonvulsant in time; patients with no fever should be kept warm.

Through the above introduction to the treatment of neonatal pneumonia, I believe that parents and friends should have some understanding and knowledge. Parents should take good care of their children. In daily life, they should keep the room clean and the air clean. The clothes of newborns should be comfortable and breathable, and should not be too thick to affect heat dissipation. Once the baby has pediatric pneumonia, it should be treated in time, and don't miss the best time for treatment.
