Attention Deficit Bladder Patients: Four Diseases

Attention Deficit Bladder Patients: Four Diseases

Hyperactive bladder may be related to four diseases: urinary tract infection, bladder stones, prostatic hyperplasia and bladder cancer. You need to seek medical attention in time. Hyperactive bladder is manifested by symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and increased nocturia. It may be related to a variety of diseases and needs to be treated according to the specific cause.

1. Urinary tract infection

Urinary tract infection is one of the common causes of hyperactive bladder. Bacterial infection can irritate the bladder wall, leading to symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency. In treatment, doctors usually prescribe antibiotics such as levofloxacin, cefixime or amoxicillin. The specific drug should be selected according to the type of pathogen. At the same time, drinking plenty of water, avoiding holding urine, and maintaining personal hygiene can help prevent recurrence of infection.

2. Bladder stones

Bladder stones may irritate the bladder wall and cause ADHD symptoms. The formation of stones is related to diet, metabolic abnormalities, or urinary tract obstruction. Treatments include medical stone removal such as potassium citrate, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, or surgical stone removal. In terms of diet, you should reduce the intake of high-oxalate foods such as spinach and chocolate, and increase the amount of water you drink to dilute the urine.

3. Prostatic hyperplasia

In male patients, prostatic hyperplasia is a common cause of overactive bladder. The enlarged prostate compresses the urethra, causing symptoms such as difficulty urinating and frequent urination. Treatment options include medications such as tamsulosin and finasteride or surgery such as transurethral prostatectomy. In daily life, you should avoid sitting for long periods of time and reduce alcohol intake to alleviate symptoms.

4. Bladder cancer

Bladder cancer may manifest itself in early stages with symptoms of hyperactive bladder, such as hematuria and frequent urination. Diagnosis requires cystoscopy or imaging. Treatments include surgical resection, chemotherapy such as cisplatin, gemcitabine, or radiotherapy. Early detection and treatment are crucial to prognosis, and those with related symptoms are advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Hyperactive bladder may be associated with a variety of diseases, and targeted treatment is required according to the specific cause. Urinary tract infection, bladder stones, prostatic hyperplasia and bladder cancer are common potential causes, and timely medical examination and standardized treatment are the key. In daily life, maintaining good urination habits, a balanced diet and regular physical examinations can help prevent and detect related diseases at an early stage.
