How much does it cost to cure diarrhea in children?

Children's diarrhea is a very common disease at present, and many parents are also concerned about the cost of treating children's diarrhea. The cost of treating this disease is closely related to the choice of treatment method, so everyone needs to know more about the treatment measures for children's diarrhea. Let's take a look at the treatment methods for this disease.

1. Fasting therapy: For simple diarrhea, fasting is mostly unnecessary. Even if fasting is required, it should not exceed 6 to 8 hours. As a result of fasting, the baby may suffer from starvation diarrhea, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, and may also cause malnutrition. Without the doctor's advice, parents should not fast or starve babies with diarrhea.

2. Diet therapy. Diet therapy is also very important in treating diarrhea. Specific methods include: no matter what type of diarrhea a baby has within 6 months, do not stop breastfeeding, but the mother should eat less fatty foods and drink a cup of warm water 30 minutes to 1 hour before feeding to dilute the milk. If the baby has steatorrhea, try to feed the baby the first part of breast milk. The first part of breast milk contains more protein, while the second part of breast milk contains higher fat, which is not conducive to the digestion of diarrhea babies.

For babies fed with cow's milk, the ratio of water to milk can be increased. If pure milk is fed before diarrhea, the milk can be mixed with milk in a ratio of 4:1, 3:1, or 2:1 in the early stage of diarrhea. The milk can also be boiled to remove the milk skin on top to reduce the fat content and become skim milk. Fried rice noodles are also an effective diet therapy (but not suitable for babies under 4 months old). Fry the rice noodles on a slow fire until they turn brown. Take a proper amount of burnt rice noodles each time, add a small amount of water and sugar, boil and eat; lotus root powder can also be used as food for diarrhea. Dissolve the lotus root powder in water, add a proper amount of sugar and boil and eat.

3. Dietary strategies: appropriately extend the interval between feedings, reduce the amount of feedings (for babies who eat less, do not restrict them as long as they want to eat), reduce the types of food, change the cooking methods (such as boiling the fresh milk several times and discarding the milk skin), etc.

4. Rehydration method: babies will lose a lot of water and electrolytes when they have diarrhea. The water in the intestinal cavity cannot be absorbed, and a lot of water will precipitate out. If they only drink boiled water, it cannot be absorbed by the intestines, and they will have diarrhea after drinking water. At this time, if they can take oral rehydration salts (electrolytes), they can not only absorb water, but also absorb the supplemented electrolytes, which can play a role in stopping diarrhea.
