Dietary taboos for early stage diarrhea in children

Dietary taboos for early stage diarrhea in children

Diarrhea in children is a very common intestinal disease in children. Eating unclean food or catching a cold stomach may cause diarrhea in children. The most common way to treat diarrhea in children is drug treatment. During treatment, in order to prevent the condition from worsening, there are still many things that sick children cannot eat. Let's take a look at the specific taboo foods.

1. Children with diarrhea should not eat raw, cold or spicy foods: raw and cold fruits, cold vegetables and other raw and cold foods as well as spicy foods such as peppers and mustard are irritating to the intestines and should not be eaten when they have diarrhea.

2. Children with diarrhea should not eat foods that cause abdominal distension: beans, too much milk, etc. will cause intestinal bloating and aggravate diarrhea. Some children have diarrhea because they cannot digest the lactose in milk, so when they have diarrhea, they can stop eating dairy products containing lactose, and slowly take them in after recovery until they gradually adapt.

3. Children with diarrhea should not eat high-sugar foods: candy, chocolate, desserts, etc. have high sugar content. Sugar will cause fermentation in the intestines and aggravate flatulence, so they should eat less sugar.

4. Children with diarrhea should not eat high-fat foods: because the digestive ability is reduced during diarrhea, high-fat foods such as cream, fatty meat, and pastries often cause loose bowels due to undigested fat, resulting in persistent diarrhea.

5. Children with diarrhea should not eat indigestible food and junk food: fried, grilled and other processed foods will make them difficult to digest and cause diarrhea. Over-processed junk foods such as ham, sausage, pickles, instant noodles, etc. contain harmful ingredients, which will be eliminated by the intestines, which is one of the factors causing diarrhea.

If there is a child with diarrhea in your family, parents must not feed this kind of food to the child, otherwise the diarrhea will become more and more serious. In addition, parents must actively do preventive work and not let the child's stomach catch a cold. They must also pay attention to cleanliness in diet and not eat unclean food, junk food, or food that is difficult to digest.
