What are the prevention methods of mumps? How can mumps be treated?

Mumps is a common childhood disease that is very harmful to children's health. Therefore, how to treat mumps has become a major concern for parents. In order to help parents understand this disease, this article will introduce ways to prevent mumps.

The following measures are usually taken to prevent mumps:

1. Mumps is a preventable disease. Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent mumps. Children should complete vaccination on time, one shot at 1.51 years old and one shot at 6 years old. Children under 15 years old can be vaccinated. Currently there are measles-mumps vaccine and measles-rubella vaccine;

2. During the epidemic of respiratory diseases, try to avoid crowded public places; wear a mask when going out, especially on the bus;

3. Once a child is found to have suspected mumps, fever or upper respiratory tract symptoms, he/she should go to the hospital in time for early diagnosis and treatment;

4. Develop good personal hygiene habits, and practice "four diligences and one more": wash hands frequently, ventilate frequently, dry clothes and quilts frequently, exercise frequently, and drink more water.

Treatment of mumps:

1. In the early stage of acute suppurative parotitis, drugs, antibiotics, traditional Chinese medicine Jingfangdu powder, and Wuwei disinfection beverage are mainly used; at the same time, stimulate secretion and keep saliva secretion unobstructed. If the course of the disease exceeds one week and enters the suppurative stage, the pus should be drained by incision.

2. There is no specific treatment for viral mumps. It can be treated with the above-mentioned Chinese medicine. If there is a concurrent bacterial infection, it can be treated with antibiotics.

3. Acupuncture treatment

Ear acupuncture pills

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoint: parotid gland

Acupoint: Ear tip

2. Prevention

First, use a fine three-spindle needle to injure the ear tip to prevent bleeding 1-2 drops, then stick the Wangbuliu thread on the parotid acupoint, press twice a day, 50 times each time. Change it every 3-4 days, and a course of treatment is 7 days.

Body Acupuncture

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoints: Yifeng, Cheek-cart, Shaoshang, Hegu.

Acupoints: Lieque, Fenglong, Jiexi, Tinghui.

(II) Governing Law

The main acupoints are mainly used, and when the effect is not obvious, the acupoints are appropriately increased. A few merchants use three-edged needles to bleed, and the remaining acupoints use the disease Xu technique (quickly insert the needle to a certain depth, slowly twist the layered needle), the stimulation should be strong, and the facial acupoints (only the patient's side) are repeatedly injected to promote the disease, and then leave it for 30~60 minutes, and inject 2~3 times at the same time. Inject once a day, and twice for severe cases.

Things to note before treating mumps:

1. Isolate the patient early until the swelling of the parotid gland subsides completely. Tell children not to have close contact with the patient.

2. Pay attention to indoor ventilation and keep the air flowing. You can use 0.2% peracetic acid for disinfection at home. Do not participate in large group activities during the epidemic.

3. Vaccinate against measles, rubella and mumps. Strengthen the promotion of health knowledge, educate children to develop good personal hygiene habits, exercise more, and strengthen their physical fitness. However, the live attenuated mumps vaccine cannot be used for pregnant women, people with congenital or acquired low immunity, and those who are allergic to egg white.

4. Take 30 grams of Isatis root or 9 grams of honeysuckle decoction for prevention, 1 dose per day for 6 consecutive days.
