How to cure tracheitis in children

How to effectively treat pediatric bronchitis? Children are weak and sensitive to temperature changes, so they are prone to catching colds. If they cough, it is likely to cause pediatric bronchitis, which is a headache for many parents. So, what are the methods to cure pediatric bronchitis?

1. General treatment

(1) The room should be clean, quiet, well-lit and well-ventilated. However, avoid direct wind blowing on the child.

(2) Rest in bed when the fever is high. The baby should be changed to another position frequently to facilitate the discharge of respiratory secretions.

(3) Antitussive drugs can be given when coughing is frequent, but avoid giving excessive doses that may inhibit the coughing up of secretions.

(4) Provide easily digestible food and sufficient water.

(5) Pay attention to the local cleanliness of the mouth, nose and eyes, and pay attention to respiratory isolation.

(6) When convulsions occur and breathing difficulties occur, for mild cases, refer to the following TCM treatment methods for "excessive heat and wheezing", and for severe cases, refer to the treatment of bronchiolitis and bronchial asthma.

2. Other treatments

(1) Ammonium chloride solution makes sputum easier to cough up. The dosage is 0.1-0.2 ml/kg each time.

(2) Use an appropriate amount of ipecac syrup to make sputum easier to cough up. Infants and young children should take 2 to 15 drops each time, and older children should take 1 to 2 ml each time, 4 to 6 times a day.

(3) When bacterial infection occurs, appropriate antibacterial drugs can be used.

(4) Ultrashort wave or ultraviolet radiation can be used to treat chronic bronchitis.

After reading the above introduction, you should know how to treat pediatric bronchitis. Parents must pay attention to the fact that after a child catches a cold, they must actively treat the child to prevent pediatric bronchitis. If the child is sick, everyone should also pay attention to weather changes and help the child keep warm.
