When does jaundice occur?

Generally, when a child is born, around the second day after birth, the doctor will use a jaundice measuring instrument to test the child for jaundice. The jaundice value of the child is different every day. This is also determined by the different physical constitutions of each child. Generally, newborns will have jaundice two to three days after birth, and it is usually most serious on the fourth to fifth day. Of course, this is not the case for every child, and treatment should be based on the current situation.

The jaundice value is also based on the condition of the newborn. If it is a premature baby, the duration of jaundice will be longer. If jaundice appears within 24 hours after birth, but does not subside within two to three weeks, or even the jaundice value is elevated or severe, this is pathological amplification.

Generally, babies will have jaundice after birth. There are several treatments for jaundice. If the condition is not too serious, you can take some Chinese medicine, such as those that clear away heat and dampness, strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness, or those that eliminate jaundice and jaundice. These medicines are more effective and will eliminate jaundice after taking them for a few days.

Generally, the peak period of jaundice in full-term babies is four to five days, and it subsides in about five to seven days. During this period, the child must be given the medicine given by the doctor on time, the child's condition must be closely observed, and if there is any problem, it should be reported to the doctor in time for treatment. The baby should be allowed to get more sun.

Neonatal jaundice is also a process that every child must go through, so parents don’t need to worry too much. Give the child medicine on time according to the doctor’s advice, and the child will get better soon. If the child’s jaundice is very severe, then you need to listen to the doctor’s advice to see if blue light exposure is needed.
