Oral administration of tiopronin to treat mumps may occasionally cause fever, rash, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, abnormal taste, etc.; fatigue, limb numbness, etc. are rare reactions; long-term high-dose use of tiopronin to treat mumps may cause proteinuria or nephrotic syndrome, so care should be taken.
