What are the causes of neonatal pathological jaundice?

1. Prehepatic jaundice is caused by certain reasons, such as innate metabolic enzyme and red blood cell genetic defects, physical, chemical, biological and immune factors, anemia, hemolysis, and excessive blood bilirubin raw materials of red blood cells in the body, such as autoimmune hemolytic anemia, hereditary spherocytosis, unstable hemoglobin, etc.

2. Due to inflammation such as stones, liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic tumors, bile duct obstruction and bile failure to discharge into the small intestine can cause post-hepatic jaundice. Common diseases include: suppurative cholangitis, common bile duct stones, pancreatic head cancer, pancreatitis, bile duct or gallbladder cancer.

3. Congenital non-hemolytic jaundice: Gilbert's disease, Dubin-Johnson jaundice and jaundice caused by neomycin are caused by hepatocyte bilirubin binding disorder and bilirubin metabolism function defects.

4. When patients with severe heart disease suffer from heart failure, the liver becomes congested and swollen for a long time, and jaundice may occur.

5. Drug damage. There is a history of taking drugs, such as chlorpromazine, indomethacin, phenobarbital, sulfonamide, aminosalicylic acid, carbazine, etc. Toxic hepatitis may occur. At this time, gastrointestinal symptoms are not obvious, there is no fever before jaundice, serum transaminase is significantly elevated, but the turbidity reaction is normal.
