How to prevent hernias in children

How to prevent hernia in children?

1. In order to avoid hernia in children, we should start from congenital factors and acquired factors. Congenital factors are congenital abnormalities in intrauterine embryonic development before the child is born. After birth, it is found that the child's fascia is poorly developed, not completely closed and cracked, leading to the occurrence of hernia.

2. In terms of congenital factors, eugenics and good parenting must be done well. During pregnancy, both husband and wife must take good care of their bodies, and the father should pay attention to quitting smoking and limiting alcohol. The mother must take good care of her body and stay away from some bad working environments, such as radiation, asbestos and some radioactive substances. Viral infections must be avoided in the early stages of pregnancy to ensure that the child develops normally from the beginning and is also full-term. Because immature or low-weight newborns are also one of the risk factors for hernia, these are all congenital factors.

3. Acquired factors: Try to avoid increased abdominal pressure. Children are relatively young, so don't try to lift weights, as this will cause excessive abdominal pressure and easily cause hernia. Children with diarrhea or constipation should also be treated in time, as hernia is also prone to occur over a long period of time. Squatting for a long time and straining during bowel movements will cause hernia if abdominal pressure continues to increase. Chronic coughing or sneezing can also cause sudden increase in abdominal pressure, and hernias can protrude from fascial fissures, so this situation should also be avoided as much as possible.
