Medical care for children with mid-stage renal disease

Adults are a high-risk group for kidney disease, but in recent years, some children have also been found to have kidney disease. Kidney disease can cause great harm to children's health. It should be treated in time after discovery. In addition, children have relatively weak ability to control their behavior. Therefore, parents should also provide good care for their children while treating them.

1. Children with kidney disease should choose more alkaline foods. When suffering from acute glomerulonephritis, the urine is acidic, and the acidity and alkalinity of food can adjust the pH of urine. Providing alkaline foods can make the urine close to neutral, which is conducive to treatment.
2. The diet for children with kidney disease should also provide an appropriate amount of heat energy. Severe cases need to rest in bed to reduce energy consumption. Reduced activity can reduce appetite, so the daily dietary energy supply for children with kidney disease does not need to be too high.
3. Limiting sodium and water is also important in the diet of children with kidney disease. To eliminate edema, sodium and water must be limited. A low-salt, salt-free or low-sodium diet should be given according to the condition.
4. Activities: Because children take certain drugs for a long time, their immunity is reduced and they are prone to respiratory infections. The amount of activity of children should be strictly limited. They can play some quiet games and avoid strenuous exercise to prevent children from getting tired and aggravating their condition.
Children with kidney disease should take medication on time even when the disease is stable. Parents should supervise and check their children's medication every day to avoid worsening of the condition due to missed medications. Parents should also add or remove clothes for the children in time and take precautions against colds and other diseases. Even if the disease occurs, drug abuse should be avoided.
