Depending on the contrast agent used in the parotid cavity, low-density or high-density contrast agent shadows can be seen in the parotid wall, and the parotid wall is not thickened on the periphery; when the submucosal edema is obvious, it appears as a low-density band that ends at the edge of the ulcer. Enhanced scanning shows that the mucosal layer with the same strength as the surrounding normal parotid wall mucosa is interrupted at the edge of the ulcer, and the surrounding parotid wall shows stratification, which is of great value in distinguishing from parotid cancer.
