1. Western medicine for malnutrition in children

Children need to supplement digestive enzymes and various vitamins in advance during treatment, and also need intravenous infusion of glucose and insulin. If anemia symptoms have already appeared, a small amount of blood or plasma transfusion is needed multiple times, and albumin preparations can also be used. 1. Chinese medicine prescription

You can use a Chinese medicine prescription composed of Chinese herbs such as Codonopsis pilosula, malt, Citrus aurantium, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Coix seed, and Shenqu for decoction.

(2) Spleen deficiency and weak qi type

If the child is of the spleen deficiency and weak qi type, he or she should take medicine that mainly has the effect of eliminating stagnation and regulating the spleen, harmonizing the middle and clearing away heat. Generally, it is necessary to use the prescription of Ganji San with additions and subtractions. The herbs needed include Codonopsis pilosula, costus root, immature bitter orange, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, betel nut, radix striata, green peel, tangerine peel and picrorhizon.

(3) Qi and blood deficiency type

For children with Qi and blood deficiency, the treatment principle is to replenish Qi and blood and strengthen the spleen and warm the Yang. You can use water to decoct the Eight Treasures Soup, which is composed of Chinese herbal medicines such as Rehmannia glutinosa, Chuanxiong, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Ophiopogon japonicus, Dendrobium officinale, Angelica sinensis, White Peony Root and Shenqu. It can be taken in the morning and evening every day.

2. Chinese patent medicine

Children can take Chinese patent medicines for conditioning treatment, such as Shenshu Jianpi Pills, Renshen Jianpi Pills, Kaiwei Lipi Pills and Qipi Pills. Those with dampness blocking the middle burner can take Zisheng Pills, and should take the medicine for at least 3 consecutive courses.
