What are the harmful consequences of having ADHD in children?

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is also known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or mild brain dysfunction syndrome. It is a common disorder in children. Many parents do not know what harms ADHD will bring. Today, I will introduce the harms of ADHD.

1. Hyperactivity. The child cannot sit or stand still no matter what occasion or what he is doing. His activities are often aimless. He often makes small movements in class and has poor self-control.

2. Poor academic performance. The intelligence of these children is not proportional to their academic performance, that is, they have normal intelligence but poor academic performance, which is often caused by their inability to concentrate in class.

3. Patients are easily irritated. ADHD often causes minors to be emotionally unstable and do things without considering the consequences. When committing violent crimes, most of them cause serious injuries to the victims. The types of crimes committed by these defendants are concentrated, among which theft and intentional injury cases account for a large proportion. In addition, minors with ADHD are often withdrawn and lack communication with their parents and teachers, which is not conducive to judges conducting follow-up assistance and education activities.

4. Low self-control. Because minors with ADHD lack self-control, they are often induced and stimulated by certain factors to commit crimes, which is sudden and uncertain. They commit crimes repeatedly. When trying the case, the judge found that some minors repeatedly and continuously violated the social moral standards corresponding to their age, which led to crimes. Some minors even committed crimes during the period of bail pending trial.

5. It will become a factor of social instability. If ADHD patients are not treated in time, they will have a high crime rate when they grow up due to poor self-control, impulsiveness, laziness, and greed for enjoyment. They will become habitual offenders after repeated admonitions, affecting social stability and the safety of people's lives and property.

6. Children with ADHD have poor organization, planning and preparation skills. They are easily bored with boring materials or tasks and often procrastinate. They are impulsive and cannot follow instructions and complete tasks from beginning to end. They have a poor sense of time and do things without finishing them. After such people join the work, leaders dare not entrust them with important tasks.

7. It is easy to be psychologically distorted. It makes children feel hostile and hateful towards their parents, which affects family harmony. Parents need to pay attention to the fact that children with ADHD also have antisocial behaviors. Ten to twenty percent of patients may have substance dependence or abuse (such as alcohol addiction, drug addiction, and drug abuse).

ADHD seriously affects children's physical and mental health, so parents should not ignore it.
