What is the dietary treatment for convulsions in children?

Pediatric convulsions are actually quite scary. Many children eventually become demented due to repeated convulsions, which is really a great harm to the child's future. So once such a situation occurs, parents must not just let it go. Paying attention to the child's diet can also be very helpful for childhood convulsions. Let me introduce the dietary therapy for childhood convulsions.

Convulsions can be caused by various diseases and are very harmful to health and life. Therefore, timely treatment should be combined with dietary treatment. During the illness, the diet should be light, and beans, lean meat, and fish should be selected. Vitamin D and calcium-rich foods should be supplemented. Fatty and sweet foods should be avoided to prevent moisture accumulation and phlegm. Spicy and irritating foods, such as rice vinegar, leeks, and star anise, should not be eaten to avoid exciting the nervous system and causing illness. Salt intake should be controlled, and beverages, juicy fruits, and pickled foods should not be consumed excessively to avoid increasing the burden on the brain and inducing the disease. Reasonable combination of meat and vegetables to maintain blood acid-base balance. To prevent constipation, you can choose foods rich in dietary fiber, such as beans, seaweed, kelp, radish, fungus, cucumber, etc.

During a seizure, children should not be fed water or food to avoid suffocation and aspiration pneumonia. After the seizure is relieved, they can be given sugar water or nutritious, easily digestible liquid or semi-liquid substances, such as eggs, milk, lotus root powder, noodles, etc. Children with seizures should not consume stimulants such as wine, vinegar, tea, coffee, chocolate and cola; avoid indirect smoking as much as possible, and pay attention to avoid excessive fatigue or excessive excitement to avoid inducing seizures.

The above is the dietary therapy method for pediatric convulsions that I introduced. Don’t underestimate our usual dietary therapy. If the mother can really work hard in this regard, it will really give the child a different recovery guarantee. It will not only alleviate the child’s condition but also make the child healthy.
