Drug analysis

In the formula, forsythia, isatis leaf, and isatis root clear away heat and detoxify; chrysanthemum and mint disperse wind-heat; gypsum is sweet and cold, clears heat and purges fire; rehmannia cools blood, clears heat, promotes fluid production and quenches thirst; radix rehmanniae and radix strychnifoliae clear away deficiency heat; and patchouli dissipates dampness and relieves summer heat. All the herbs work together to clear away heat and relieve the symptoms.

Dosage

Take with boiled water. For children under one year old, take half a bag (6 grams) once, for children from one to three years old, take half a bag (6 grams) to 1 bag (12 grams) once, for children from four to seven years old, take 1 bag (12 grams) to 1.5 bags (18 grams) once, for children from eight to twelve years old, take 2 bags (24 grams) once, twice a day.

Precautions

1. Avoid spicy, cold, and greasy foods.

2. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time while taking this medicine.

3. Infants should take the medicine under the guidance of a physician.

4. Not suitable for people suffering from cold.

5. Children with diabetes and those with spleen deficiency and prone to diarrhea should take the drug under the guidance of a physician.

6. Patients with fever exceeding 38.5℃ should go to the hospital for treatment.
