What are the symptoms of baby pneumonia? Four common symptoms of childhood pneumonia

What are the symptoms of baby pneumonia? There are many types of pneumonia in children. Knowing it in time can better prevent it! The appearance of pneumonia brings great trouble to the baby. In many cases, the baby will cry, refuse to eat, and be disobedient. Let us learn about the symptoms of baby pneumonia in time!

Symptoms of mild bronchopneumonia in children may develop rapidly or slowly, usually first with symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, but may also develop suddenly.

1. Most of the fevers are high, around 39-40℃, irregular, and the fever type is uncertain, mostly remittent fever. Infants and young children with rickets and malnutrition may not have a high temperature; newborns with pneumonia may not have a high temperature.

2. Coughing is an early symptom of this disease. It starts with frequent irritating dry coughs, followed by phlegm sounds in the throat. Coughing may be accompanied by vomiting and choking on milk.

3. Shallow and rapid breathing, nasal fanning, mild cyanosis around the mouth and nails in some children

4. Pulmonary signs are not obvious in the early stage, with only coarse breath sounds or slightly reduced breath sounds. After a few days, moderate and fine moist rales can be heard, especially fine moist rales. They are denser at the bases of the two lungs and beside the spine on the back and clearer at the end of deep inspiration. When large areas of lung lesions are fused, signs of pulmonary consolidation such as increased vocal fremitus, dullness on percussion, weakened breath sounds on auscultation, or tubular breath sounds may occur.

In addition to respiratory symptoms, children may also have systemic symptoms such as mental depression, irritability, loss of appetite, shivering, diarrhea, etc. If the treatment is timely and appropriate, they will recover within two weeks.

The above introduces pediatric pneumonia from four aspects. I hope parents will pay attention to it in time and stay away from the symptoms of pneumonia in their babies!
