How to check for hemorrhagic jaundice

How to check for hemorrhagic jaundice

In fact, many pregnant women need to take special care of their bodies after they become pregnant, because this is for the sake of the fetus in their belly. They also need to go to the hospital regularly for prenatal check-ups during pregnancy. Let us now learn about the examination methods for hemorrhagic jaundice.

Inspection method:

1. Blood biochemistry examination: red blood cells decrease, hemoglobin decreases, reticulocytes increase significantly, and nucleated red blood cells are seen in the smear. When counting white blood cells, the number can be greatly increased because the nucleated red blood cells are counted together. These changes in blood counts also vary with the severity of hemolysis.

2. Blood type test: When the mother and baby have Rh blood type incompatibility, using horse serum to identify ABO blood type may result in misidentification of ABO blood type. Because horses produce anti-A (B) antibodies and anti-IgG antibodies when stimulated by human red blood cell surface antigens, when unexplained questions are found, this disease should be considered and human serum should be used to identify ABO blood type instead.

3. Specific antibody test: There are immune antibodies. The blood jaundice index increases, and bilirubin increases. Due to different operation methods, the results can differ by more than 3 times. The excretion of urobilinogen in urine and feces increases. When the bile duct is blocked by bile thrombus, the stool may be grayish white, and bilirubin can be found in the urine. In ABO hemolytic disease, the activity of erythrocyte acetylcholinesterase is significantly reduced. Plasma albumin, prothrombin and fibrinogen may decrease, all of which can contribute to bleeding symptoms. Severe cases can be treated with thrombocytopenia, prolonged bleeding time, and poor clot contraction. A few cases develop DIC.

4. Check the bilirubin content in amniotic fluid.

5. Imaging examination.

6. Other laboratory tests.
