Baby hand, foot and mouth disease vomiting and diarrhea

If your baby has hand, foot and mouth disease and has symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea, it may be caused by the hand, foot and mouth disease itself, or it may be caused by cold, intestinal infection, etc. It is recommended to take your baby to see a doctor in time and receive treatment after a clear diagnosis.

1. Hand, foot and mouth disease: After the baby is infected with hand, foot and mouth disease, he will have a fever. Some babies may have symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which are mostly caused by the virus invading the gastrointestinal tract. After a clear diagnosis, antiviral drugs such as ribavirin can be used under the guidance of a doctor. At the same time, if accompanied by fever, ibuprofen suspension can be given for antipyretic treatment. Appropriate fluid replacement, such as oral rehydration salts, is also required to avoid water and electrolyte disorders;

2. Cold: If the baby's abdomen gets cold during hand, foot and mouth disease, it may cause gastrointestinal dysfunction, resulting in vomiting and diarrhea. Pay attention to keeping the area warm and avoid getting the abdomen cold, so as not to aggravate the condition;

3. Intestinal infection: After the baby suffers from hand, foot and mouth disease, the resistance is weak, which may cause the intestine to be infected by bacteria or viruses, thus causing acute gastroenteritis, vomiting, and diarrhea. After a clear diagnosis, you can choose montmorillonite powder, bifidobacterium and other drugs for treatment according to the doctor's advice. If it is a bacterial infection, you can use amoxicillin, cefixime and other drugs under the guidance of a doctor;

4. Other reasons: If the baby eats unclean food during the period of hand, foot and mouth disease, the bacteria or viruses in the food may multiply in the gastrointestinal tract, causing acute gastroenteritis, vomiting, and diarrhea. Under the guidance of a doctor, montmorillonite powder can be used to improve diarrhea symptoms. At the same time, probiotics such as Saccharomyces boulardii powder or Bacillus subtilis combined live bacteria granules can be used to regulate intestinal flora and improve symptoms.
