What are the symptoms of jaundice hepatitis in children? Jaundice hepatitis in children generally lasts for two to three months and usually goes through the following three stages: 1. Early stage of jaundice: The early symptoms of jaundice are numerous and confusing, including depression, hunger, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bloating, etc. As well as other respiratory diseases, including obvious cold symptoms, nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, pharyngeal congestion, etc. Gastrointestinal symptoms also include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, aversion to greasy food, etc. The course of the disease is relatively short, often accompanied by fever, mostly moderate fever, a few people have high fever, usually lasting 1-3 days. 2. Jaundice stage: During the course of the disease, the child's body temperature drops, the skin becomes more jaundiced and whiter, the liver becomes larger and thicker, and the burden becomes greater. The urine color becomes brown, and some patients' urine color becomes darker, soy sauce color. Generally, the change in urine color occurs 3 to 5 days before the yellow staining of the skin. Some patients will be accompanied by transient splenomegaly and higher serum bilirubin growth, mainly bilirubin conjugation. 3. Recovery period: According to clinical manifestations, there are signs that the liver is gradually recovering, the liver will gradually shrink, jaundice will subside, and respiratory and digestive tract symptoms will disappear. The speed of subsidence is faster than that of adults, taking only 7-14 days. Serum bilirubin and ALT generally return to normal within 3-4 weeks, and only a few cases will last for 1-2 months. It takes more than 6 weeks for the liver to return to normal in most children. Some liver function indicators usually return to normal, but there is also persistent liver pain, upper abdominal discomfort, etc., which are all called post-hepatitis syndrome. Patients with mild icteric hepatitis can recover after 3 to 6 months, but delayed treatment or repeated treatment of acute icteric hepatitis in children is also common. After understanding the symptoms of acute icteric hepatitis in children, once children have such symptoms, they should go to a regular liver disease hospital for examination and treatment, and never miss the best time for treatment. |
