How to supplement malnutrition in babies

Malnutrition will affect the growth and development of babies. Parents should add supplementary foods rich in vitamin D and calcium to infants in time, and add nutritious foods that are easy to digest and absorb. Breastfeeding is more beneficial than formula feeding. In addition, it is also necessary to supplement vitamins for babies.

The health of the baby is a major concern for the whole family. All parents hope that their babies can grow up healthily. However, some babies show symptoms of malnutrition due to the negligence of their parents, which leads to developmental delay. Therefore, it is very urgent to provide the baby with nutritional supplements in time. So, how to supplement the malnourished baby with food?

If your baby is malnourished, you should focus on protein supplementation and eat more protein-containing foods, such as milk, goat's milk, whole milk powder, soy milk, lean meat, boneless fish, egg yolks, vegetables, fruits, etc.
1. Emphasize breastfeeding: Because breast milk is more nutritious, but it is important to ensure that the mother gets enough vitamin A and vitamin D. You can also give the baby 500-1000 international units of vitamin D daily starting 1-2 weeks after birth, and continue taking it until the baby is 2-3 years old.
2. Add vitamin D and calcium-rich supplementary foods to infants and young children in a timely manner: such as egg yolks, liver paste, cod liver oil preparations, dried shrimps, chopped vegetables, fruit juice, rice soup, etc. Babies over 1 year old should improve their diet quality in an all-round way, and regularly consume milk, eggs, tofu, green leafy vegetables, sugar and staple foods every day.
3. Easily digestible food: Eat more rice porridge, milk, chicken, duck, chicken liver, hawthorn, eel, quail, whitebait and other foods. The food should be soft, rotten and fine to facilitate digestion and absorption.
The dishes we make are of various shapes, suitable hardness and softness, bright colors and light taste, which can arouse children's interest in eating. This can effectively make children eat more and minimize the intake of snacks. Because food is not good for the body, but will have adverse effects on the body.
