Early symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease in children

The initial symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease in children include fever, oral herpes, hand rash, foot rash, buttocks rash, etc. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Fever: In the early stage of hand, foot and mouth disease in children, the child may have fever symptoms, and the body temperature is usually around 38℃, and some children may have higher temperatures. If the body temperature does not exceed 38.5℃, physical cooling can be used first, such as warm water sponge bath; if the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃, antipyretics such as acetaminophen can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Oral herpes: Scattered herpes appear on the oral mucosa, which is painful and causes loss of appetite and drooling. Keep the oral cavity clean and use Kangfuxin liquid to rinse the mouth; the diet should be light and easy to digest, and avoid irritating foods.

3. Hand rash: Small red papules or blisters appear on the palms and sides of fingers. Pay attention to hand hygiene and avoid scratching to prevent infection; calamine lotion can be applied locally to relieve itching.

4. Foot rash: Rash appears on the soles and toes, similar to hand rash. Keep your feet clean and dry, and wear comfortable and breathable shoes and socks; if it itches, use antipruritic drugs.

5. Buttocks rash: Rash appears on the buttocks or around the anus. Change diapers frequently and keep the area dry; you can apply a mild diaper cream.

The initial symptoms of hand, foot and mouth disease in children are usually quite obvious. Once parents find that their children have relevant symptoms, they should seek medical diagnosis in time. During the treatment process, it is necessary to closely observe the changes in the child's condition and pay attention to care. Most children can recover in about a week. At the same time, preventive measures should be taken, such as washing hands frequently and maintaining environmental hygiene, to reduce the occurrence of the disease.
