Diarrhea in children refers to the change of original bowel habits, the increase of bowel movement frequency, thin stool or stool containing pus and blood. So, what are the treatment methods for diarrhea in children? Let's learn about it together.

1. Physiological diarrhea:

Diarrhea in children is common and there is no specific medicine. This is mainly because the gastrointestinal tract is not yet fully developed. There is no need to worry too much about diarrhea, especially within 6 months of age. In most cases, conditioning methods rather than drug treatment are used to reduce the suffering of the baby and avoid persistent diarrhea caused by improper treatment. 80% of babies' severe diarrhea is caused by incorrect use of medication. Parents must pay attention to why the medication is being used when seeking medical treatment.

2. Diet therapy:

Mild cases: Reduce the amount of milk and replace it with rice soup, sugar and salt water, etc.

Severe cases: fasting for 8 to 24 hours and intravenous rehydration.

3. Fluid therapy:

(1) Oral liquids:

Indications: Mild dehydration or mild vomiting.

Fluid replacement amount: 100 ml/day per kg body weight, taken in several doses.

(2) Intravenous fluid replacement:

Indications: Moderate and severe dehydration.

4. Symptomatic treatment:

Treat diarrhea: Take bismuth carbonate or light acid protein 0.3 g orally once, 3 times a day;

1. Aids Digestion:

(1) Take 1 tablet of Multienzyme Tablets at a time, 3 times a day.

(2) Oral administration of pepsin mixture: 1 ml per year, 3 times a day.
