What are the dangers of ADHD in children

According to a survey, among 1,292 juvenile offenders, 978 were diagnosed with ADHD during school age, with a prevalence rate of 75%. This shows that ADHD not only seriously endangers children's health, but also brings significant harm to families and society. Therefore, it is urgent to treat ADHD in children!

ADHD is dangerous if left untreated!

1. Children with ADHD are easily irritated. ADHD often causes minors to be emotionally unstable and do things without considering the consequences. When committing violent crimes, most of them cause serious injuries to the victims. The types of crimes committed by these defendants are concentrated, among which theft and intentional injury cases account for a large proportion. In addition, minors with ADHD are often withdrawn and lack communication with their parents and teachers, which is not conducive to judges conducting follow-up assistance and education activities.

2. Children with ADHD have low self-control. Because minors with ADHD lack self-control, they are often induced and stimulated by certain factors to commit crimes, which is sudden and uncertain. They commit crimes repeatedly and repeatedly. When trying the case, the judge found that some minors repeatedly and continuously violated the social moral standards corresponding to their age, which led to crimes. Some minors even committed crimes during the period of bail pending trial.

3. ADHD can last a lifetime if not treated. Children with ADHD usually have symptoms of attention deficit, hyperactivity and impulsivity. According to surveys and studies, the prevalence of ADHD among school-age children in my country is as high as 5%, and among these children with ADHD, 50% to 60% of them will have symptoms that last into adulthood or even for life.

Experts point out that if children with ADHD do not receive timely and standardized diagnosis and treatment, 75% of patients will suffer from at least one of the mental disorders such as mood disorder, anxiety disorder, personality disorder, etc. in adulthood, and 33% of patients will have two or more comorbidities. Therefore, the treatment of children with ADHD is urgent! At present, the treatment of ADHD mainly includes physical therapy, drug therapy and biological therapy.
