Nursing methods for children with pneumonia

Neonatal pneumonia is a common and frequent disease, and its impact is quite serious. We must pay attention to the occurrence of this disease, and after the child suffers from neonatal pneumonia, we need to strengthen care. This is also something that many mothers are not aware of. Next, the editor will introduce friends to the care measures for neonatal pneumonia.

1. The indoor air should be fresh. Too hot and stuffy is very bad for children with pneumonia. It can make cough worse, sputum thicker, and breathing more difficult. The indoor humidity should also be appropriate. A basin of water should be placed on the stove and water should be sprinkled on the ground frequently to prevent the indoor air from being too dry.

2. Closely observe the baby's body temperature changes, mental state, and breathing conditions.

3. Newborns with pneumonia are often unwilling to breastfeed. They should be given enough fluid and calories. In addition to breastfeeding, glucose solution can be transfused.

4. Children lose a lot of water due to fever, sweating and rapid breathing, so they should be fed more water, which can also moisten the throat, thin the thick phlegm and keep the respiratory tract unobstructed.

5. Since breastfeeding can aggravate wheezing, do not feed with a bottle. Use a spoon instead.

6. Pay attention to whether there are dry scabs in the baby's nasal cavity. If there are, you can use a cotton swab dipped in water to gently remove them to solve the breathing problems caused by nasal obstruction.

This is all I have to say about the care methods for neonatal pneumonia. Neonatal pneumonia is a common disease, so you should know more about it in your life. Once a newborn baby has symptoms of coughing, you should pay attention to the occurrence of neonatal pneumonia and need timely treatment.
