Causes of dry cough in children

Causes of dry cough in children

As people's pace of life accelerates and their lifestyles quietly change, pressure from all aspects is gradually increasing. In this environment, people will inevitably feel unwell. The most common symptom is coughing. If a child coughs continuously, severe cases may cause pneumonia, which will cause pain to both children and adults and make treatment more difficult. So what are the reasons for children's dry cough?

Climate factors: Changes in air temperature, humidity, and cleanliness of the air can induce coughing, so cold and autumn and winter seasons, morning and evening haze are high-frequency periods of coughing. During the transition of seasons, a sharp drop in temperature can easily lead to irritation of the airway and cause coughing.
Allergic cough: It is caused by the allergic constitution, which we call allergic bronchitis. Some people with allergic nasopharyngitis often have a feeling of clearing the throat, but no phlegm can be coughed up. At this time, some relevant examinations should be done to see if there is allergic rhinitis and inflammatory stimulation of the upper airway, which causes the cough.

The cough caused by a cold may start as a viral cold and gradually develop into bronchitis or pneumonia, accompanied by symptoms of lung pain, shortness of breath, and hoarseness. The cough at this time is considered a typical manifestation of pneumonia, and it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for treatment.
We should also pay attention to some habitual coughs, that is, some psychological and psychogenic coughs. If some children have some emotional problems or psychological tension, these situations will also cause the child to habitually clear the throat, similar to some manifestations of coughing. If it is serious, it is also necessary to seek medical attention in time.

The above are the symptoms of dry cough in children. If it is only caused by weather, air, tension, etc., just pay a little attention and observe; if the dry cough lasts for a long time, accompanied by shortness of breath and hoarseness, seek medical attention in time to avoid delaying the best treatment time.
