Symptoms of jaundice hepatitis

Symptoms of jaundice hepatitis

Jaundice hepatitis refers to liver disease that leads to bilirubin metabolism disorders. Common manifestations are jaundice, darker urine color, lighter stool color, pain or discomfort in the liver area, and systemic symptoms. It is recommended to go to the hospital for relevant examinations and cooperate with the doctor's treatment.

1. Jaundice: The skin and whites of the eyes appear yellow due to increased bilirubin levels in the blood. Jaundice is a typical symptom of icteric hepatitis.

2. Darker urine color: The urine color becomes darker, dark yellow or brown, because bilirubin is excreted from the body through urine.

3. The color of stool becomes lighter: The color of stool may become lighter or even grayish white. This is due to the obstruction of bile secretion and the inability of bilirubin to enter the intestine normally.

4. Pain or discomfort in the liver area: You may feel pain or discomfort in the upper right abdomen, which is caused by an enlarged or inflamed liver.

5. Systemic symptoms: including fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, weight loss and other systemic symptoms, which may be related to impaired liver function.

Do not take medication on your own during treatment, especially medications that may potentially damage the liver. You need to maintain good eating habits, avoid high-fat, high-sugar foods, and consume an appropriate amount of protein and vitamins.
