Usually indigestion causes a burning sensation. Although it sounds serious, don't worry, it does not mean that your child has a heart problem. Let's take a look at what to eat for babies with indigestion?

What should babies eat if they have indigestion?

Yam and Lotus Seed Porridge

For children under 1 year old, yam and lotus seeds should be crushed as much as possible. The dried ones can be ground into powder and then mixed with rice soup into a paste for feeding. This porridge can warm the stomach and strengthen the spleen, and is most suitable for children with insufficient spleen yang.

This meal uses millet to strengthen the spleen and stomach; chicken gizzard helps digestion; mushrooms have the function of strengthening the spleen and stomach and helping digestion. This porridge is beneficial to the stomach, appetizing and helping digestion. Eating it regularly can prevent and control indigestion in children.

How to prevent indigestion in children

First, let your child eat a regular diet that suits her constitution. Make sure she doesn't eat too much at each meal and that the food doesn't contain too much fat or greasy food. Don't let your child eat too much chocolate or oranges, both of which can easily cause indigestion.

Teach your child to chew and swallow slowly when eating. Do not chew food too quickly (about ten seconds) to facilitate better digestion.

The complementary food should be added from liquid to soft. For babies under 2 years old, the complementary food must be rotten, delicate and soft. For example, vegetables can be chopped, rotten and made into vegetable puree. For babies aged 2-3 years old, because they already have 16-20 deciduous teeth, the food can be a little coarser.

When parents let their babies try new foods, they should adapt slowly. They should not give too much at one time, but gradually increase the amount to allow the child to adapt. At the same time, we should not be partial to one kind of food, but should diversify and rationalize.
